Doctors are held in high esteem in whatever location you may find yourself. Sierra Leone is a small country with small number of doctors but professional in their various fields. One of such professional doctors is Dr. Abdul Gibril N’jai. He is a fine young man who thinks advocating for health and education is a must especially in the country which we find ourselves in. He is a Medical Officer working at the Connaught government hospital. He was born in Kambia District, northern Sierra Leone. He did his primary schooling at St. Anthony’s primary school, and later, the Sierra Leone Grammar School. He graduated best student at primary and secondary school. He was a student rep at COMAHS and now currently the President of Junior Doctors Association of Sierra Leone and also the Secretary General of Sierra Leone Medical and Dental Association (SLNDA). He’s a passionate advocate for health and education.

To be a doctor is one, to carry out the duties of a doctor is another. This Dr. N’jai does with no hesitation, and to the best of his ability. He always leaves his patients with no doubts and in satisfaction. ‘Working as a doctor in Sierra Leone is but a huge sacrifice’ he says. Not well paid and few doctors to work, so basically he has to work the extra mile to serve and he’s happy doing this especially when he feels like he’s related to every Sierra Leonean in a way.
